The n00bs
Just wanted to post a photo of the newbies here at the flat. They are two adorable girls, Elisa and Lisa (such originality never ceases to amaze me). One is studying to be a krankenschwester and the other is starting her Bachelor's in Industrial Design at the Kunstuni. As you may figure out, me and Clemens will miss the crazy Ben but, hey, we got something good in return. My life is a sitcom ;)

Kasia!!Where are you?
Where are you my sweet Kasia? Since a long time that we don't hear nothing from you...Say something! We want news!!
Now everybody!!
Yesterday me, Mariana, and Calu we've met, and we talked about our next meeting!
Is maybe soon to some people to think about that, but earlier we decide, earlier we can buy the ticket...and cheaper...etc etc.
What do you think about a new year's evening all together? and off course some more days...or in another time!? But let's try to be all together again! Give some opinions about the good days for you, and a possible city...
Well I miss you all!

Into Autumn...
Back to cold, rain and falling leaves.
Now I am working for the InStory project and preparing my course. I'll be introducing interface technologies and teaching Arduino :P
And Ricardo is in Japan... he gets to eat sushi every day!!! Envyyyyyyyyyyyy
But the original purpose of this post was to tell Mariana that her portuguese music CD is a great company in my lonely afternoons and evenings at the (now desert) PhD room of Interface Cultures.
And I may be going to Portugal on October's end. Buzi to you all! ***

That creepy table with the candles...
You guys!!! Miss you all...
Now that the weather is shitty in Linz, let me take some time to tell the news.
I got my first interactive installation presented at the Campus 2.0 exhibition in Ars Electronica '07. I also got a card saying "Artist" which wasn't simply cool (hehe) but also let me ride in Linz AG Linien for free.
I am sooooo glad that the glove actually worked so well... although it needed to be repaired every other day.
Now I'll have two new flatmates: Elisa and Lisa (you know, I think the writer of this story is beginning to lack in imagination). So now there will be me, Clemens and these two cute girls in the flat. Unfortunately this means that Ben, the tall and crazy german guy, is leaving.
This is at the same time the best and the worst thing about Linz: that people come and go so often. It's verily bittersweet.
One last thing, for those who don't know. This semester I'll be teaching "Introduction to Interface Technologies" to 2nd year bachelor students from Time-based Media. So now please excuse me, I have to prepare the course 8-)
See if I can post more stuff. More pictures. Gotta buy myself a new camera.

Uharte
This is a picture of the waterfall behind our house, in Uharte(Iruñea)
"Where I Go"
Climbing under
A barbed wire fence
By the railroad ties
Climbing over
The old stone wall
I'm bound for the riverside
Well, I go over to the river
To soothe my mind
To ponder over
The crazy days of my life
Just sit and watch the river flow
Find a place
On the riverbank
Where the green rushes grow
See the wind
In the willow tree
In the branches hanging low
Well, I go to the river
To soothe my mind
To ponder over
The crazy days of my life
Watch the river flow
Ease my mind and soul
Where I go
Well I will go to the river
From time to time
Wander over
These crazy days in my mind
Watch the river flow
Where the willow branches grow
By the cool rolling waters
Moving gracefully and slow
O, child it's lovely
Let the river take it all away
The mad pace and the hurry
The troubles and the worries
Just let the river take them all away
Flow away

Somewhere ... Somehow
Well, some news images from one way in the Heart of Portugal... keeping in touch with elements that can offer me some other pespectives /)
I decided not to do my Santiago way, but doing some smaller ways in this place of mine ... surprises surprises!! Santiago will be one of my objectives ... meanwhile I will go inside of what I like to do!
Wishing all the best
Carlos Silva
